I'm trying to make a portfolio with embedded YouTube video's using Publish Online. At first it worked with one video, but after adding some video's Indesign freezes when I click the ''Publish Online'' Button.

Importing lines that weren't there?
I've just imported a Word document into InDesign, but a line has been added at each Return. And a line is added whenever I add a new Return in new text. How do I remove the lines, and how do I turn this off? Have I imported a command without realising it?

Can't package in InDesignCC2015. Error is: "Cannot copy necessary linked file(s)" It happens with anything I try ro package. I am on a2014 iMac running OS 10.10.5

How can I remove delays in front of videos that checked in 'play on page road'
Hello, forum.
I have a problem with the 'media pannel', or playing media files that i brought in my indesign page.
I am using Adobe CS6, and when I place my video files in page, and check 'on page road' (which means when I see SWF preview pannel or play exported SWF files, then placed video should be automatically-immediately played), I always found some delays. videos aren't immediately played...
Mostly used files were mp4, so I tried with flv, f4v but it was same result. They were started after about 0.5~1 seconds.
Can you help me? How can I play placed videos immediately? Thanks for the help.

Preview problem when working with text
When applying paragraph styles and the text below moves, the preview makes it seem like it overlaps. This means one has to scroll every time to refresh preview so you can see where the next para starts. How can I fix this please? Until of course Adobe fixes it

Help with script that converts text box to HTML object
I don't know anything about programming scripts and unfortunately inDesign doesn't have any actions panel as Photoshop..
I need a script to convert a text box with HTML code inside to a HTML object… I do not think it should be very difficult
The way could be the following:
1) Select text box
2) Cut all text inside it
3) Delete empty box
4) Select selection tool
5) go to OBJECT/INSERT HTML
6) Paste inside the code before we cut from text box
7) OK and close the INSERT HTML menu
If the Script works we could change a Text box with HTML code inside to a HTML object (video, map, animations...)
The first step could be selecting manually each text box or selecting automatically all the boxes that start with "<iFRAME"

Creative Cloud TOC generation changes compared to CS6.
Hi everyone,
I've been making epubs since Cs2 [!!].
I've recently upgraded to CC and there's an annoying change that's not working now compared to in Cs6.
I create a periodical every 2 months, which gets printed and then I make a new version to become an epub.
Most of the days start with a date in a paragraph style. There are some feature pages that I use a graphic header for, [that is a group of objects including the title in a set font]. This was anchored into the text and given it's own paragraph style 'feature heading' that was included in my TOC style.
This used to export fine in Cs6 – although the TOC entry was empty at least it was present and I would break into my epub to find the TOC file and add the text into the correct pace.
Now in CC the feature heading entries do not feature at all in my TOC, just all the dates.
I'm exporting as an epub 2 reflowable [we have a 1st generation ipad that we do the checking on]
Is there a new feature or setting somewhere I'm missing?

InDesign not displaying PNG's correctly
Does anyone know how why my InDesign (CS6) isn't displaying PNG's correctly? They are appearing as extremely pixelated or 'wobbly' (e.g.) a circle shape wouldn't be smooth or harshly pixelated but instead wobbly? My display settings are set to Overprint Preview with High Performance Display selected to. The appearance of these PNG's are carrying over into saved files and still incorrect when printed. I know PNG's are for the web and not print but sometimes they are the only images available that I have to use so please don't waste time pointing that out to me.

Automatically adding character as first and last character in a paragraph
Hi,
I'm looking to set up a tag for chapter numbers that would automatically insert an ornament or dingbat as the first and last character. Is this possible in ID CS6?

Problem with Illustrator and InDesign
Hello, I'm facing a problem with Illustrator and Indesign, when I copy a vectorial object from Illustrator to Indesign i receive the error: "Importation file EPS: InvalidFileAccess."
The file is saved on the pc, but i meet this situation also with files saved on NAS.
Any suggestions?

Error while uploading for publishing online
I'm trying to publish a document online but it fails. I'm receiving the following message almost every time when the upload is on 90%:
"An error occurred while uploading your document. Please try again"
Tried everything, including downsizing the file (it contains 2 small video's) to 72 dpi and jpg quality normal.
Can't find a solution, what I'm doing wrong?

How to create a GREP query with find a replace
Can anyone please assist with the following GREP example, I would greatly appreciate it.
FIND: Any line beginning with a number (could be single or double digits) that could be just a number or include 2 numbers with dashes in between (i.e. "2-3")
REPLACE: With a tab at the beginning of the line and place after the number (or numbers, as mentioned earlier) a tab + "indent to here"
Here is the example:
Original:
1 cup nuts
10 oz. sugar
2-3 cups cereal
Result:
[tab] 1 [tab] [indent to here] cup nuts
[tab] 10 [tab] [indent to here] oz. sugar
[tab] 2-3 [tab] [indent to here] cups cereal

Translation software that integrates with InDesign
Hi All,
I was wondering if anyone knows of or has used any software that can translate English copy into various different languages and populate various different InDesign documents with the translated text.
We are currently working on some POS materials for a client and they have asked us if we could do their European units as well as the UK. They have said that they could supply the translated text in Excel format so I'm not sure if the software would need to do the translation as such (that would be a bonus though) so I guess it would just need some solid mail merge features or something along those lines!

InDesign CC 2015 "Save As" Issue
Hi,
My InDesign CC (2015) stops working whenever I do a "Save As" running on Windows 7. I reinstalled InDesign twice and rebuilt my Preferences. Still crashes whenever I use "Save As" when saving a document. Does not matter if it is an old or new InDesign file. Does anyone experience this issue? If so, what can I do to resolve this problem?
