I am unable to export an ePub from InDesign CS5 because "some fonts were not embedded". The error screen indicates that Times-Roman is the problem font, however this font is not listed when I "Find font". Help!

336 new pantone colors
Hi !
I have a problem: the recently released 336 pantone colors are not included in the latest CS6 InDesign pantone color libraries.

InDesign CC v. CS6
Anyone using the CC yet? I'm tempted to get a one-year subscription, but don't see much in the feature set that interests me, i.e., there don't seem to be any 'compelling' reasons to upgrade, at least not with this version. I especially don't care for the dark UI background; awfully hard to read IMO.

InDesign CS6 exporting to Adobe PDF (Interactive)
Created an interactive form in InDesign CS6, but when I export to a PDF file, using Adobe PDF (Interactive), the purple bar "Please fill out the following form…" is not visible in my PDF file.
PLEASE NOTE: My Adobe Acrobat Pro preferences do not have the check mark on under >Form >Always hide forms document message bar. The check mark is off.
I want the purple box to be visible in my interactive form, yet it is not. WHY????

InDesign CC - Completely unusable.. Text tool crash!
How on earth did this get released when so many of us are having crash on startup issues.. InDesign CC is now 'parked' and we'bve gone back to CS6, along with other posts on here, the sofware just 'bombs' if you attmept at access the type tool... after all the fanfare i find this totally unbeliveable. I've tried all the font workarounds as suggested, but still no luck.. fingers crossed for a 'cloud' fix soon!

Packaging InDesign files
I have an InDesign file that has a bleed. When I packaged the file, the Report text file listed Bleed as being zero. ln Document Setup the bleed is 1/4 inch on all 4 sides. The only way I was able to get the correct bleed setting to show in the report file was to go to File > Print, take the check off of Use Document Bleed Settings, and type in the bleed.
Why would the correct bleed not be listed in the Report file if the document set up has a bleed setting?

Table continuation variable
In FrameMaker there is a table variables so that if a table splits from one page to the next, the heading row on the second page of the table can display "Continued"
Does InDesign have anything similar?

Some fonts stopped showing as available on ID CS3, though at the same time they ARE showing as avail
Some Adobe fonts stopped showing as available on ID CS3, though at the same time they ARE showing as available on AI CS3. How do I get them to show up so I can select them?

InDesign crash when updated from InCopy
We have had a recurrent problem with InDesign crashing when trying to update files that have been edited in InCopy. We can work around the problem by finding the few (sometimes one, sometimes several) ICML files that are causing the crash and unlinking. We can then re-export and continue on our merry way. We have tried the requisite deleting of preferences, exporting to IDML, etc., but those things do not help.
Support has not been helpful so far, even saying that they do not recommend using these programs over a network!!! I hope that's a miscommunication issue.
Digging a little deeper, everytime it crashes, it generates a ProtectiveShutdownLog: this log shows 4 APLN that did not load (see below). (This could be correlation, but not causation) Hoping someone from Adobe can jump in and offer some real support.

Change language in UI InDesign CS6 (Creative Cloud)?
How can I change the language in UI InDesign CS6 (Creative Cloud)? I currently have all menus in Norwegian, but would like to have them in English. I don't remember any options when installing to choose the language. Hope someone can help! Thanks a lot!

I cant save files from Indesign CC
I instaled the New CC and now i can only save files directly to the desktop on my mac. If i try to put them in any folder they will not save and Indesign crashes. I am having the same issue with Photoshop & illustrator.

Live Effects on images that crossover gutter.
I have a 156 page job with facing pages that was created in Indd CS4. It has many instances where images are placed which crossover the gutter. The images have some transparency effects applied. Basic Feather and/or Inner Glow, so the outside perimeter of the image fades to paper. When we print or export pdfs as single pages it breaks the image at the gutter and then applies the effects to both the left and right hand halves of the image adjacent to the gutter so when impose for print there is a white feathered area running vertically through the gutter.
The solution is NOT to print in spreads. If this was a simpler job I could do that. This is a fairly complicated imposition and the pages are in 32 separate files. Anyone know a setting to keep the live effects from applying to the center of the image when single pages are created?

Restoring Links - inDesign CS5.5 - Highlighting found links in finder
In inDesign CS4 -
When I was searching for and re-linking missing links within my inDesign document, I would select the link in the links panel, click the relink icon in the Links panel, and go search for my link. Once I arrived at the folder where the link was housed, either indesign or my finder would highlight (with a light gray bar) the found link which had the same filename + extension. I'm not sure if it was finder or inDesign, but I immediately found my link because it was conveniently highlighted, and then inDesign would relink any other missing links within that same folder.
Since upgrading to inDesign CS5.5 -
I've noticed that when I go to relink a missing file and I've found the folder it's in, my finder no longer highlights the file which has the exact same filename and extension. Does anyone know how to enable this feature, of highlighting file names within the finder when the match the name of the link being searched for? Nothing jumped out at me in inDesign preferences, or in the drop-down menu options of the links panel.
I haven't been able to find any other forum discussions which address this.
Any help is greatly appreciated. This was a very convenient tool that helped me find files quickly and accurately in CS4.

Indesign vs Illustrator gradient (Banding problem)
I've got a problem with a large format banner I'm having printed, where a gradient created in InDesign is banding. The printer is telling me that InDesign gradients are not acceptable and to recreate them in Illustrator or Photoshop before making the PDF.
Can this be right? He claimed InDesign uses less steps in creating gradients which is what causes the banding. I've done plenty of large format work and never some across this before so I'm hoping to find some sort of evidence that they're telling me porky pies. I'm guessing they just have some crappy rip software.
I'm on CS5 if that's relevent. Thanks for any advice.

Changing the size of dialog boxes
Hi
I like a big dialog box so that I can see an extensive list of folders on the left. Instead of changing the shape of it manually any time I save, export, open, place, etc, I would like it to remain a certain size.
I discovered that if I close all my windows, open a new file, (change my dialog box in the process), save and close, the size of the dialog box remains the same.
However I have not figured out a way to do this for export and place. So I still have a small box for those tasks.
Can anyone suggest a way to define the size of the boxes??

Indesign CC – work with CS6 .indd documents?
A few days ago I've installed a new Indesing CC. Everything works fine, however I've found out I'm not able to work with CS6 .indd files in a proper way in out network.
Other designers, working on CS6, also have to work with files created with my CC, and it sould be valid CS6 files, not CS4 *.idml. So I need a solution to open and save files in CS6 *.indd format with my CC. How can I do this? Thanks in advance!

creating hi-res pdf files
when creating a hi-res pdf file, i use the option of "bicubic downsampling to 300dpi for images above 450dpi" - if this is turned off, do you get a better end result, specifically when printing to billboard size?
