Here's the setup:
Mac running High Sierra (10.13.4) and InDesign CC (13.1) creating a run-of-the-mill InDesign file and creating InCopy assignments that are saved on a network for Windows users to edit. Never had a problem with this method before.
In the last week or so, the Windows machines running Windows 10 (unsure of build number) and InCopy CC (most recent), when trying to open the .icma file, get an error saying "Because this document contains no InCopy stories, Galley View and Story View are not available."
One thing of note: I keep my InDesign files in location A, and the assignments are created/saved into location B on the same server. Again, this has never been an issue. However, I have to manually change the default saving location because InDesign tries to save all the .icml files and the .icma file in the same location as my InDesign file. Since receiving this error, InDesign has been creating an empty assignments folder in the same location as my InDesign file which, again, is NOT the location to which I am saving the .icml files and the .icma file.
Another note: The .icma files in question open just fine on the Mac most-recent version of InCopy.
What could possibly be happening? There has not been an InDesign or an InCopy update done between when this wasn't happening and when it started happening that would have caused this, and all software on both platforms is up to date.
Any thoughts?
