Immediately beachball by trying to open a former used file saved on Server via VPN using the file menu in InDesign CC2015 when VPN is unmounted - seen on different Macs. Fine with CC2014 - error message about a missing file - like expected.
Edit: not only a VPN-Server, same with e.g. missed NAS (Synology etc.)
Edit 2: it seem that this issue happens when a Doku is in the first line and the Server (path) is missing

Open the software and try to open or create a file and I get a spinning ball. I have had Adobe tech people working on my computer (in their meager tech support offering hours) for more than an hour. Supposedly fixed. NOT.
Occasionally, I can get a file to open but then when I go to save it, I get a spinning ball.
When I check on FORCE QUIT, I keep getting the message that InDesign is "not responding."
Frustrated.
Adobe's "Help" options are not clear. I am an experienced Adobe product user and am frustrated with Cloud software and their alleged help offerings. This is no help at all.
I have problem with InDesign CC 2015 runs too slowly and is the only application suite that has this problem . My platform is Mac OS X Yosemite 10.10.5 with 4Gb RAM
In my TOC, page numbers are often formatted like the first words(s) of TOC entry, rather than plain text. Setting for this is not shown in TOC Style panel. Is there another location for that setting? Time-consuming alternative is to reformat page numbers manually after generating TOC.

I don't know what's causing my document to refresh or update all the time!
My typing gets interrupted, the text frame gets deselected and I have to start all over again! It's very annoying!
A text message is briefly displayed when the refresh occurs but It's to brief to be readable.
Is it Creative Cloud that's checking or refreshing the fonts I use from Typekit? I use four typefaces from Typekit.
I don't know. I'm working on a 50 pages magazine.

I completed a press job in which copy was only on the odd pages with a design on the even pages (same on all even pages). After it was complete, the customer decided they wanted a copy with only the odd pages to display on a screen during an event. I was looking for a way to export a PDF of only the odd pages but didn't find it. It was easy to do with printing to a PDF -- there I could either print only odd or even pages or just choose to not print blank pages (after deleting the content on the even side master page). I've learned here that one should always use export rather than printing to PDF -- is there any (easy) way to accomplish this task with export?
I have been working with a very large InDesign File, 160+pages, most with large images and graphics. I went to open the file today and everything is missing except for the cover page that was created the day the file was started. Everyplace that I had backed the file up is missing all of the information as well. Is there a way to recover this?
I have generated a QR Code via InDesign. I now want to export that to a trifold brochure that I have created in Photoshop. I wish I could've done the entire project in InDesign but I was just starting out with Adobe CC and not completely familiar with everything. So, do I need to place the QR Code into photoshop or bring the entire trifold into InDesign for this to work?
InDesign CC. Panels and icons missing.
This is the second time it has happened. Everything is working normally. Then for no apparent reason when I open another file (different files) the panels are missing.
This time resetting my personal workspace brought the panels back - it didn't last week.
Then when I open the swatches panel the icons at the bottom are missing - see graphic below.
When this happened last week I had to uninstall and reinstall InDesign to get things back to normal.
As last week I've tried removing preferences - no joy. Tried reboot - no joy.
I'm using a brand new 5k 27in iMac with 32GB memory and a clean installation of CC.
I would be very grateful if anyone throw some light on why this is happening - but more importantly, how to stop it happening :-)

I have InDesign CS5.5 and I am unable to open the programme or any InDesign files and keep getting an error message saying "Adobe InDesign does not recognise SCRIPTING.RPLN as a valid plug-in. Please reinstall the SCRIPTING.RPLN plug-in and restart InDesign".

I am an amateur editing a club newsletter with InDesign (Creative Cloud 2015). It's a really simple four-page document that I export as a PDF and send to a small local printer. I inherited the InDesign file from the previous editor three years ago; I simply copy the file and sub out the content each month. The file has always used Calibri and Times fonts.
Today I started my first newsletter edit with a new iMac (OS 10.11). Uh-oh: All the Calibri text is pink-highlighted.
I'm not a design pro at all, and I don't know how fonts work.
Other factors:
Can you give me simple steps to activate some clean sans serif font in this file, so I can move on?

Is there a specific way I need to delete a page? At first I thought that it just needed time to reload and such since there's 150 pages following the one that I deleted. I gave it time and it still had all the pages blank. All the pages following were still connected to a master, but the text was gone. I just wonder if there is a specific way I need to delete the page?
I currently use InDesign CS6 with Yosemite.
I converted social media icons to buttons and made them link to their URL, when exporting to SWF (I checked it was all pages) it only exported the first page and the file icon was a blank white page (there are only two pages to export). I tried again by making the names of the social media pages the buttons, followed the same procedure and the same result occurred. It keeps only exporting the first page, its like it doesnt read the first page.
In the past I have successfully linked buttons to pages within a document and never experienced a problem before. My boss would like to have interactive newsletters on the website and I so far dont know how to fix this problem, no one seems to be able to help me.... I've even tried an interactive PDF and it exported both pages but the buttons were inactive.

I have a long document with lots of footnotes and tables. These tables are following the copy inside the text frame.
PROBLEM...
When I go to format the tables the footnote jumps from the bottom of the text frame to the top of the text frame and the table disappears to the next page. Everytime I hit the cell styles or style sheets - bang it happens. Then I have to move the text frame slightly for everything to come back in to place where it should be.
This happens to every text frame that has a table inside it. Is this some type of bug?
Its driving me batty and making this job so hard!!!!!
We have recently upgraded to Adobe CC 2015 and Mac OSX El Capitan. When using InDesign I am finding that I am no longer able to toggle on/off a custom baseline grid within a text frame. I can use cmd-alt-' to hide/show the document baseline grid, but when I apply a custom baseline grid to a text frame it doesn't show/hide with the same keyboard command – the only way to hide/show is through cmd-B and then checking/unchecking the 'Use Custom Baseline Grid' check box.
This worked fine for me in CS6. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
The problem is with Indesign and I keep getting the spinning wheel everytime I go anywhere near the Indesign or file menu at the top left ? Spins for about 4mins then clears? Anyone experienced this?
