"BLACK DRAG"

Hi,

 

I hope somebody can help me with this:

 

My problem concerns only one picture which I want to place in my document. Instead of the picture there is just the words BLACK DRAG. This occurs irrespective of how the picture comes into Inesign CC 2014 or 2015 (drag and drop, place, update link). I converted the picture into psd, jpg and tiff - with the same result. Is possibly a copy protection causing these jokes?

 

Dieses Problem betrifft nur ein einzelnes Bild, das ich in mein Indesign-Dokument einfügen möchte: Anstatt des Bildes erscheint nur der Schriftzug BLACK DRAG. Das ist unabhägig davon, ob ich das Bild platziere, per drag and drop hereinziehe oder die Verknüpfung aktualisiere. Ich habe das Bild in eine psd, ein jpg und tiff gewandelt und es mit Indesign CC 2014 und 2015 probiert. Ist da vielleicht ein Kopierschutz im Bild?

new harddisk on mac can't start ID or photoshop fault: 150:30

Transparent cells with filled borders shows a transparent grid in table borders

I'm having an issue where random vertical gridlines are showing in the filled borders of my table, but not the cells. As they do not show at every instance of a cell I feel like this might just be a glitch somewhere. However, they show up in two different files where I am using the same background elements. They show up in InDesign, when I export to pdf and even when I print the pdf. The first attached photo is from InDesign, the second from Preview: Screen Shot 2015-11-17 at 9.40.40 AM.png

Actual photo resolution versus what see on screen

I am sure this has been asked, and see variations on the question but want to get "clear in my mind".  Totally new to indesign and see that when I place a photo (showing 940 ppi in preflight panel) I can see pixelated.  This is, of course, based upon seeing totally clear images on screen prior to placing.

 

So real question is this--do I trust Indesign preflight as to what is stating resolution to be?

He asignado estilos de caracter y de párrafo a un texto en un documento de InDesign, copio este texto para llevarlo a otro documento, pego el texto en el nuevo documento y en este no me respeta las características de texto asignadas.

in CS4 cannot export to pdf or save files

I am trying to export anvil to PDF but it says that I do not have the permissions to do this.  It is also refusing to save files as .indd with the same response that `i do not have permissions. Hope someone can help.

Text jumping to edges of text frame

Hello

 

I need to work on an urgent deadline and for some reason when I'm typing text into a text frame it is jumping around the page in the text frame and will not go in the main artwork area? If I dragged the text frame into the working document the text totally disappears?

 

Any help would be much appreciated as I need to get this finished over the weekend

Colour issues

I'm using InDesign CC 2015.06, saved my files in the cloud and I'm facing a problem with colours. Every time I export the file, the colours in the second page come differently then the first one. I'm using the same PMS colour (PMS 2717 U). On the second page I'm using the PMS colour in different shades including a gradient. Has anyone faced this type of problem before? How do I resolve it?

InDesign CC 2015 not packaging links

Recently updated to InDesign CC 2015 (with the rest of the suite) and when I package some artwork, the links to Illustrator & jpegs are in the 'Links' folder, but all say 'zero bytes' in the filesize.

 

If you open the packaged .indd file the links don't show as missing or broken, but if you try to amend them it says they are '...an unkown format and cannot be opened'.

 

I'm on OSX 10.9.4, I have tried packaging from the network, and locally, but the same thing happens.

How to Convert Gradient CMYK to Gredient Spot color

Hi Everybody,

 

Gredient with CMYK used in my Indesign file for the box, but I need to convert the CMYK gredient to spot Gredient with same appearance. Could you please provide any solution to fix it properly?

Why can't I select the textbox on a master based page?

I'm putting text into boxes on master based pages. Was working fine until suddenly, two of my master based pages won't let me select inside the text box. I can't even select the text box. I've tried everything I can think of. I've deleted the page and tried it over again, I've hit Shift+ click, shift+ctrl+click etc. I can't figure it out!

Nee to ID. Got Garamond Pro from typekit and over last month near finished with 2 books. Now says font missing when I open file. Is this internet connection issue?

How do I delete Printer Presets?

How do I delete printer presets? Would be nice to also be able to rename them, but I'm sure that is asking too much, silly me.

 

Same for PDF presets.

 

I have ones I don't use anymore, want to clean it up.

 

I'm assuming there's a file somewhere where these are stored, but I can't figure out where. Probably obvious.

 

Any help is appreciated.

Estoy diseñando un photolibro de muchas páginas en Indesign CS3 con Mac 10,5.8 desde un par de años. Hoy, al abrir nuevamente InDesign, una serie de fuentes como Arial, Book Antigua, Lucida Calligraphy, Times New Roman y Times fueron sustituidas por no estar en el sistema ( missing fonts ) ¿Porque fuentes especificas desaparecen de repente del sistema y donde puedo  recuperarlas?

Uso por primera vez este foro y espero que alguien me pueda ayudar. Estoy agradecido por cualquier apoyo brindado.

I have a mp4 file put into indesign and exported as interactive PDF. on the window's computer I can see the movie but not on the mac. Are there solutions? Thank you in advance
