I have made an interactive PDF and I want to know if there is a way to make a save button that saves the PDF as uneditable. Basically want the customer to fill in the details, save and send to client as uneditable pdf.

Italics on User Interface
Hello
I have asked this already on a different threads, but under Peter Spier's advice am starting a new thread about it.
On various parts of my user interface, the text is shown in italics. This problem also occurs in Photoshop, but not in Illustrator. The problem started on CS6 in about July, it had been working fine for some time beforehand. At this point the problem applied to Illustrator and Indesign, but not Photoshop. Upon updating to CC 2015, the italics disappeared on Illustrator but appeared on Photoshop. I am running Windows 8.
As can be seen from the screenshot above, some areas are not in italics, but others are. In boxes that you can type into, e.g.opacity, the text returns to normal while i am typing, before reverting to italics once I leave the box. This problem applies only to Adobe apps. Until today, I didn't know of anyone else with this issue, however a colleague updated from Windows 8.1 to 10 yesterday, and he now has this issue as well.
I have trashed preferences, run the Adobe cleaner tool and reinstalled the apps, run the CCleaner tool, reset Windows font settings to default and reinstalled all fonts. None of which have had any effect. This issue does not seem to have any effect on actual performance, but it's annoying and it could be part of a larger problem. Thanks to anyone who can help. Indesign CC 2015 hangs everytime I access the file menu
On my macbook pro 15" retina mid 2014 running the latest OS 10.10.4 and on the previous 10.10.3, InDesign hangs for 1-2 minutes everytime I click the menubar and hovers over the File menu - and only on the file menu. It happened from one day to the other.
I sometimes use my mac in a dual screen setup, if that makes any difference... However the error is there, and I can not get rid of it...

I accidentally deleted my toolbar. How do I get it back?
I was trying to move it and I clicked the "X" in the corner. It is the bar down the left of the screen with arrows, text, boxes and all that stuff you need.
How do I get it back?
I have CS6.

BSOD when inserting images
We had a brand new machine installed and when inserting images into indesign, this caused BSOD. After looking at the report it looked like Avast was causing the issue, so we uninstalled avast and updated graphics driver.
The issue did not occur after that until now. (2 months on)
Graphics is up to date and avast is not installed.
When we insert image onto in deisgn we receive bsod error. If we copy and paste, then it is fine.

It looks to be caused by "ntoskrnl.exe"
Would appreciate any assistance.

probleme affichage calque indesign cc

J'ai installé récemment inDesign CC, j'étais auparavant, sur CS5.5. Je suis sur Mac, version 10.9.5.
Et récemment sur la CC, je ne vois plus apparaitre dans la fenêtre Calque, le crayon et le carré (à droite de la fenêtre), qui m'indique sur quel calque je travaille.
J'ai fait les dernières mises à jour et vérifier dans les préférences, affichages, sans trouver…
ici la fenêtre qui ne fonctionne pas sur CC.

Recently, I can't see anymore in my Layout pannel, the pen and square (at the right of the pannel), wich precise me on witch layout I'm working.

Page numbers of spreads are right-to-left instead of left-to-right. How can i change that?
I am using Adobe InDesign CC 2015 on a mac and when I create a new document there is no option to select right-to-left or left-to-right orientation. Please help!

illustrating in indesign
Hi everyone.
Im not familiar with illustrator so have used the pen tool in indesign to create a illustration. Im wanting to create stickers but every time i copy the image onto the sticker it wont size down enough. Can someone please help? Is their a way of formatting the indesign illustration / turning it in a vector?

InDesign cc2015 interactive page elements onto iPad.
Can I use/view the simple interactive features that are in InDesign CC2015, (like buttons and image sequence) on my iPad? … Not using InDesign CC2014 or CS6 and 'Folio Overlay &, Adobe Viewer'. That is not what I am asking. I am asking can I simply see the interactive features available in InDesign 2015 on my iPad?
I don’t want to create apps, I am not an app builder or apple developer. I am a graphic designer that would like to add a little more styling to page layouts when viewed on iPad. …to expand my understanding of the basic software a little and push my 2D design skills forward onto a digital platform.
Now, I was getting somewhere close to being happy, using 'Folio Overlays' uploading to 'Adobe Viewer' in InDesign2014. …but that's no longer in 2015. I’ve also been looking at the new ‘complicated' 'ADP Solution’. Even though, and I can’t believe it requires an additional cost from Adobe on top of the CreativeCloud subscription and what looks like a further cost from Apple to obtain developer status / mobile provision/certification.
I am looking for a simple solution "Can I get the simple interactive features that are in InDesign CC2015, (like buttons and image sequence for example) on my iPad?"

Numbering in header text but not in main text
Hi, I would like to get my chapters and section in my headertext WITH numbering.
This is what I want:
Header text on left (master)page of document page:
Example: 45 1.MyTitle
And on the right (master) of document page:
Example: 46 1.1 My section title
In my document I don't use numbering for titles and sections. I want this be expressed in the headertext.
Any tips to accomplish this?
I have used textvariables but it doesn't work yet. Section title and Chapter title works but the numbering gets stuck. I only see 1 or 1.1. And yes, the option: continue with numbering is checked.

Copy and paste moves text
I have multiple spreads in my document. To save time I duplicate the spreads and adjust.
Im having trouble with the duplicate, copy & paste and copy & paste in place functionality. My text moves out of the text frame.
How can I fix this? I dont have a baseline grid. And align to grid is set to none.
Please help.

continuous page numbering in a book
I have a catalog with several separate Indesign files. We created each of the files separately and then I have tried to create a book with continuous page numbering. Nothing fancy, just straight numbers throughout. I have each document set to automatic page numbering and automatic chapter numbering. Within Book numbering options, I have it marked to continue from previous document and automatically update. I feel like that should be giving me what I want, but it isn't. Each document still shows it's own page count but the first pages actually start with the next number from the previous document, but they aren'y building on each other. If the previous document has 12 pages in it then the next document starts at 13... however, if that document has 10 page is in it, then the next document is starting on 11.
What am I doing wrong?

Indesign crash durante apertura file
Ciao,
ho un problema con Indesign cc2015,
apparentemente random smette di aprire dei file,
quando provo ad aprirli mi da l'errore "Indesign ha smesso di funzionare",
sia che provi a recuperare il file, sia che elimini i file di recovery e riprovi.
I file in questione funzionavano fino a pochi minuti prima.
Qualche idea?

InDesign CC 2015 and Acrobat DC persistently crashing while trying to copy text from Acrobat to InDesign.
Hi, I'm using Mac OSX Version 10.9.5. I recently upgraded to InDesign CC2015 from 2014 and to Acrobat DC. Ever since then, both applications have been crashing when simply trying to copy text from Acrobat comments to InDesign. I have installed updated plugin and also Dreamweaver as per previous Adobe advice but it is still occurring. It is a simple thing but of vital to the work I am doing. Closing in on the end of my tether.
