Editing Colors a problem

I am not able to edit a color. When I double click on a process color I do not get the values (to change) instead I get the pantone options. If I try to edit a pantone color and choose a new color to replace it the name changes but the color remains the same. This problem just occurred I was able to edit colors in the past. Did not do or add anything that should have changed this.
