Textbox expands to the left, want it to expand to the right, how?

Hi, new to ID here.

When adding text to a text box (frame), the text frame expands to the left and my cursor (and added text) remains in the same place. Of course, this requires re-aligning the text frame to the left margin after editing. Is there some way to make ID expand the frame to the right when adding text?
