Activating/deactivating and cloning CS and CC apps to a new driveI

I can't remember what safe computing precautions I took the last time I cloned my internal drive to a new larger drive external drive, and swapped it for the internal drive I was outgrowing. I do remember than I've had no problems from that migration, though, so I must've done stuff correctly, or I was lucky.

Now, I'm older and smarter, so I'd like a little personal-memory reinforcement.

I'm on a MacBook Pro with 6GB RAM running OS X 10.8.4 (Mountain Lion.)

I've got ID CS4, ID CS5, ID CS5.5, Acrobat Pro XI, and the CS6 Master Collection (non-cloud), plus an active Creative Cloud subscription under which I've only installed ID CC.

I have already deactivated ID CS4, CS5, CS5.5, CS6 (non-cloud), Acrobat Pro XI, and my Creative Cloud subscription.

Unlike many folks on the forum, I don't have any ongoing need for any ID release prior to ID CS6, so I'm thinking of uninstalling them. They don't take a lot of space, and they don't interfere with any work I do, so it's not essential to get rid of them. I know there are issues about installing older versions of ID when newer versions are already installed on the same machine. I don't think I've heard any cautions about removing earlier releases, though. Did I miss something important? After uninstalling the earlier releases with their dedicated uninstallers, I know that I can run the Adobe cleaner to assure that they're gone.

I'll use Carbon Copy Cloner for the clone operation, to make a bootable clone (not Migration Assistant.)

After a successful clone operation, I'll restart from the new external drive. If that's successful, I'll reactivate the deactivated applications. Then I'll swap the new external drive for the internal drive.

Did I overlook anything, or include unneeded or unwise steps?

Oh, yes, I have a complete Time Machiine backup on a separate Time Capsule drive.

So, is there any downside to uninstalling the earlier ID releases, or to leaving them in place, other than the paltry few GBs they occupy?
