How do I place several pages in indesign

Perhaps a better question should also be

Where can I learn the basics of INdesign.

Wht I have seen so far is not all inclusive and I end up asking question which seem a bit too basic?

But for the time being I have been able to create a document into which I requested 30 pages but when I import (Place) I only see the first one.
