Line drawing from AI to INDD?

Hi I have some line drawings in Illustrator and try to put them in an indesign file. But sometimes I would need to adjust the line weight or color. Is there any way to paste the "editable" line drawing to indesign file? I tried "copy and paste", "save as eps / pdf / dwg etc". None of them worked
