Preference files resetting to default every day! How do I fix it?

I had to force quit InDesign CS6 about 5 days ago on an imac running 10.6.8. I shut down my computer each day, and since the force quit, my InDesign preference reset to the default every morning! I fix them, and they do it again the next morning.

Any ideas on how to fix this?
