Text Frames Not Properly Resizing With Layout Adjustment

Hello,

This is my first time posting here, so I hope someone can help me out. I'm new to InDesign and have watched several courses on Lynda.com to help me get going. They have been really helpful, but I'm stuck.

I have designed a simple longform book that has a couple of different master pages and a very repetative layout. It is about 300 pages long. Here is a screen shot of the original 6x9 layout:

I wanted to change the trim size from 6x9 to 7x10 in order to see how it would affect the page length, so I turned on Layout Adjustment (which isn't very easy to find in InDesign CC), made the changes to the page size, and nothing seemed to adjust properly.

Here's my LA screen I used:

Here are the results:

Some of the text frames kind of resized, but not all of them. And they didn't resize very well at all. My headers and footers also only sort-of resized, but the headers are nearly off of the document and onto the pasteboard.

Furthermore, some of my facing pages got offset. Look here:

I did notice that after I changed the page size, one of my master pages frame was offset like this as well. That frame is my "chapter opener," so the right side page is formatted with a lower margin, and the left-hand page is based on the "none" master page so that it doesn't have any headers or footers. But I don't understand why it would move like this, and why only a few pages at the beginning of my book are offset like this when these masters are applied throughout the book.

I've been racking my head trying to figure out how to get this to work right. I have Layout Adjustment turned on in all of my master pages, and even when I apply those master pages to the document, the text frames do not resize to the margins. They ignore the margins even if they are fractions of an inch away.

At this point I have to go through every page and manually resize the text frames. There must be an easier way!!

Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong? Or if there is an easier way of doing this?

Than you!
