InDesign creates InCopy folder with read only permissions

I have a designer using InDesign CC and an Editor using InCopy CC. The designer is using the Mac public folders to share the InCopy files with the editor. She can see the folders but cannot access them. The base permissions InDesign is using to create the folders is Read. Once they are manually changed to Read & Write, the files work. How can I make InDesign create the folders and files with Everyone - Read & Write? Thanks!
