Exclude inline subtitle from Table of Contents

Hi!

I'm doing a compendium in InDesign CC, and have a Table of Contents at the beginning.

On some titles (styled with Paragraph Style) I a have an inline subtitle, styled with a Character Style.

Now everytime i update the TOC these subtitles are of course included in the TOC, which I do not want to have.

I then have to manually remove these using the Story Editor.

Of course this works, as I don't have to update the TOC very often, but my question is if there are any other convenient way of doing this.

Maybe I've missed some feature in InDesign.
