I'm trying to figure why Adobe installs by default both 32 bit and 64 bit applications on Windows 64bit machines. The usual answer has to do with plug-in availability for 64 bit, but with InDesign, where plug-in need to be compiled for each version, almost all plug-ins updated should be 64bit compatible.
The problems created by installing both are many. For starters, both applications share the same clsid, thus making it impossible to know which one will be opened when scripting VB.
Anyone with more info on this?
