table alternate rows exclude row

when applying an alternating row format to a table is it somehow possible to exclude specific rows from the alternating pattern?

(let's presume i have 20 rows which follow the alternating row pattern, then one which should be excluded, then another 40 with alternating, then one to be excluded, then another XX alternating and so on.)
