It has been a while since this announcement, but me and Marc Autret have been working hard on the commercial version. That's right: IndyFont v1.1 is out now.

With IndyFont you can create fonts for your own bullets, accented characters, special symbols, logo's and more, working only with InDesign itself. The font it creates is a real OpenType file, which you can use with any other software that supports OTF fonts.
The free demo only creates a one-character font, but it is highly recommended to try this first so you can test if it works.
