Uninstalled fonts on computer - InDesign still thinks they're available?

Hello.

A [hopefully] small question if I may, please.

I have recently uninstalled a few fonts from my Windows 8 PC, yet when I go into the Font List in InDesign, it still shows the legacy of these fonts in there. When I click on them in the list they don't work. But they are annoying as they interrupt the flow when I'm scrolling through all the fonts to make a selection.

Is there a way of getting InDesign to update with the current holding of fonts on my computer?
