Saving a file as JPEG at 900PPI

Printer needs file saving at 900 PPI in JPEG format.

Do I have to make sure the "effective PPI" of the photos are 900 PPI?

When I export the JPEG do i have to set the resolution at 900 PPI? And how do i set the "format method"?
