Exporting graphics with transparent background

Hi all,

I drew a big flow chart in InDesign that I'm using in a PowerPoint. I'd like to use the specific steps as well in my presentation. They have rounded corners and drop shadows, so I'd like to find a way to export them as graphics with a transparent background, as my PowerPoint template is blue.

I tried to copy and paste them into Illustrator, but the quality suffered. What are the best practices for this?
