Preview of transparent image

Hi,

I have a transparent .psd image with a shadow. We use Xinet OPI, and when using their FPO files and placed in a document, indesign preset is to show the image with "typical display" setting, showing a pretty pixeled image and the shadow still visable. When I change the preview to "high quality display", indesign seems to have a threshold of some sort to not display my shadow properly (or transparent pixels).

Our technical people belives this is a Adobe issue, not Xinet.

Is it a setting for this, or is it a bug? See screengrabs. I use InDesign CS6 (8.01)

Thanks!

/Daniel
